GRADES

WANT TO HELP YOUR CHILD WITH THEIR GRADES?

1. Ask them about their day? Review what they did throughout the day.

2. PLEASE check your child's daily planner. If they did not finish daily work, it is homework. Classroom calendars show due dates. It is the student's responsibility to write these dates in their planner because they have class time to get organized.

3. Refer to the Homework Expectations Sheet for recurring homework in ELA (Lexia, NRI, Vocab).

4. Students will pass 2 lessons per week in Imagine Math as homework.

5. Check Home Access Center (HAC) regularly and sign up for alerts.

WEATHER ALERT

Texas weather changes quickly and we love to go outside! Please check the WEATHER. Help your child be prepared for the day.

It is District policy that when the temperature, or chill factor, is 50 or below that students must have long pants and a coat to go outside. It is also District policy that alternate indoor activities should be arranged for those without proper clothing for cold weather.

**If you disagree with this policy and would like to exempt your child from it, you must email your child’s homeroom teacher.

Traffic patterns for arrival and dismissal:

Our traffic patterns have not changed - they are the same for arrival and dismissal as they have been in previous years. Please refer to the pictures in the Parent Newsletter for clarity.

Please be sure to send an email to LakeviewElem@nisdtx.org and your child's teacher by 1:00pm to communicate ride changes.

Be the change you wish to see in the world.
