Parent Cafe

We are excited to partner with Cook Children’s and offer a night of learning and discussion. Parent Cafés are a small setting where parents and caregivers have an opportunity to talk about their parenting successes and challenges, engage with others, share ideas and learn proven parenting tips and techniques.

The first session we are offering is “Communicate with Respect”. At this session we will learn how to communicate your feelings in a healthy way, negotiation skills and ways to confront without criticizing.

Reminders!

Parents- Please label your students items (hats, scarves, jackets, etc) with your child's first and last name. Our lost and found gets pretty full around this season when weather is cold in the morning but hot during recess and students shed those jackets and hats. All items that are labeled are returned to students.
All volunteers need to complete a background check. We would recommend still filling out the volunteer background check form now so that you know you are clear and ready to go when the time comes.

Transportation Changes

If you need to change your child's transportation home from school on any day, you will need to email your child's teacher and fill out this google form. This will need to be completed by 2 pm the day of.

Readers Workshop:

We will continue our novel study of, "Because of Winn-Dixie" and analyze the challenges our characters face on their journeys. We will also notice the roles that secondary characters play in our stories.
