Sept. 1st- School holiday, no school
Sept. 5th- Grandparents Day
Sept. 9th- Curriculum Night
Sept 12th- Blitz Kick-off during specials
Sept. 15th- DOT day
Grandparent's Day is Friday, September 6th from 9:45-10:15am. Use this link to sign up. Note: You only need to sign up one time. If you are coming for multiple grandchildren, you will keep your sticker.
Important Note!
Our time is the same as 4th grade this year! If your grandparent has a grandchild in 3rd and 4th grades, they can choose to spend their time in 4th and then eat with their 3rd grader at 10:30, or they can split their time in half and see each one for 15 minutes. Please ensure they are aware of this time conflict, should it apply to them. If a child does not have a grandparent in attendance, we highly encourage a parent to join so that each student is supported.
Please pack your child an extra pair of clothes in their backpack. This will give them clean cothes to change into if they get muddy at recess or spill something at lunch. We have already used up the small supply that Nurse Davis has in the nurses office.
If you need to change your child's transportation home from school on any day, you will need to email your child's teacher and fill out this google form. This will need to be completed by 2 pm the day of.
Use the link below to sign up to eat lunch with your child at Beck.

Northwest ISD's Digital Citizenship Vision:
Northwest ISD will develop citizens who know how to harness the learning potential of digital media in a 24/7 connected world, safely, effectively, ethically, and respectfully. By developing and practicing these skills, students will become leaders in this digital society and be Future-Ready.
Here are some things you can talk about at home with your students:
Family Challenge
Play Fact vs. Opinion: Ask a few family questions and then decide whether the answers are fact, or personal opinion. How tall are you? What's the best food in the world? Do rocks sink or float? Do you like dogs?
Ads, commercials, news articles, & even social media posts are full of both facts and opinions. How do we tell the difference? How do we know what is true? We can’t take everything we see online and on ads as fact.
