Hello!
Welcome to my personal project, where I express my culture and identity through a piece of clothing.
Being a part of two cultures has allowed me the opportunities to explore and discover different traditions, values and languages. It's part of what makes my identity unique.
For my project, I decided to incorporated both Cambodian and Chinese culture into one garment, a dress. The dress is in the style of a cheongsam or qipao to represent Chinese culture. And the dress itself is made using Khmer traditional textile, hol fabric.
I hope this piece showcases my cultural identity well, enjoy!
Thanks for coming!
