My project is about creating a product that will help me further explore and connect with my native culture.

The design of this dress is inspired by Cambodia’s 16th-century era called the Long Vek era. I’ve created two looks for this dress. For the first look, I’ve decided to keep it traditional by reusing the same material of the dress to create its tail. Whereas for the second look I’ve decided to use the tulle fabric for the tail giving it a more modern feeling.

I also hope that this dress will allow others who haven’t heard about Cambodia to gain an insight into the country’s clothes and history
