MOTIVATION
How convenient would it be if, during a search and rescue operation in some remote location, you have these tiny drones assisting you? Imagine the complexity of these tasks getting reduced and having a dispensable army of drones ready at your command! Drones must be safe to use in order to facilitate such kind of human-drone relationship that has the potential to help society.
My research presents one such aspect of making drones safe! I work with Time-of-Flight sensors to achieve quadrotor safety. These sensors are computationally light compared to heavy-compute Stereo cameras. A drone is built in-house for testing and validation purposes.
