Delivery team

The Research Delivery Team at the Clinical Research Network in Greater Manchester is a dynamic, experienced research delivery workforce of nurses, practitioners and admin staff, with representation from paediatric, adult and mental health backgrounds.  The team provides research support to organisations across the region as well as delivering trials independently.

This experienced team is able to deliver research trials in a variety of settings such as: hospitals, GP practices, care homes, prisons, schools, community pharmacies, urgent care centres, and community centres.  They are able to support different models of research delivery, such as high throughput delivery, and can provide a flexible out of hours service, which can include home visits.

The team have recently implemented a SOP allowing CRN nurses to consent to CTIMPs where appropriate (which involves an internal approval process) - upskilling their staff and increasing the level of support provided to sites, as well as enriching the experience for participants.

The team is focused on connecting with underserved groups within the community and actively seek out opportunities to engage with our local communities and offer relevant research.

Support from the delivery team can be requested either via the CRN study support email address - researchsupport.crngm@nihr.ac.uk or via the study support request form
