INSIGHT Programme funding

The NIHR has awarded 3 years of funding to institutions to offer engagement opportunities and research masters places for students and recent graduates within registered healthcare, social work and public health professions. 

Opportunities are delivered by the 12 regional INSIGHT Programmes in England, with Masters places starting in 2024, 2025 and 2026. Each year, up to 30 research Masters places are available in each region.

Profession-Specific Funding

Continual Professional Development funding can often be sourced via professional bodies. Contact your professional body for further information. 

Government Funding

A Postgraduate Loan can help with course fees and living costs while you study a postgraduate course. If you are a student from England, please visit the Gov.uk website for further information. 

Disabled Students’ Allowances are also available to cover the study-related costs students have because of a mental health problem, long term illness or any other disability. If you are a student from England, please visit the Gov.uk website for further information. 

Commercial Companies

Some commercial organisations provide funding for university courses. These include pharmaceutical companies, or other companies related to specialist areas of medicine.
