Highlight of your time at Nightingale:
Accidentally flooding my hotel room on the Acosta Rica Field Studies trip.
Favorite quote/personal motto:
"“We’re all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?”
- Doctor Who"
Your message to the Nightingale Class of 2020:
We made it!
Any final, parting words?
Shoutout to my advisor, Ms. Vivion, for always being there for me and for being and amazing person in general!
Highlight of your time at Nightingale:
My favorite Nightingale memories are walking up the stairs after chamber chorus, staying in the student center with friends after everyone clears out from lunch, spending hours in the darkroom, the 30 minutes before a musical rehearsal starts, free periods when no one gets any work done, passing my lower school friends in the halls, and all the little moments the somehow flew by.
What would you tell your younger Nightingale self:
It doesn't matter when you arrived or that you will only be in the schoolhouse for 4 years, Nightingale will become your home. So don't let anything stop you from raising your voice, trying new things, and becoming the best version of yourself. It's your school, your life, your future, make the most of it.
How have truth, friendship and loyalty been a part of your time at Nightingale?
I don't know what it is, but there's something about the community and atmosphere in the schoolhouse that doesn't let you create surface level friendships. Above anything else, I am most grateful for this.
Favorite quote/personal motto:
"I've got to be someone who lives all of [her] life in superlatives" Pippin
Your message to the Nightingale Class of 2020:
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Without your humor, support, guidance, and creativity I wouldn't be the person I am today. The future is extremely bright for you all!
Highlight of your time at Nightingale:
The friendships and relationships I was able to make with both teachers and students. The teachers were interested and active in pursuing a professional relationship inside and outside the classroom. While I was able to make life-long relationships with people in my class, as well as upper/lower classman due to varsity sports.
What would you tell your younger Nightingale self:
Enjoy the moment, and go with the flow. Don't spend as much time stressing or overthinking because the time goes by quickly and you should enjoy it. Take all the opportunities you are given, even if they scare you. Because change is normal, and even good for you. You will be able to mature and you will change for the better and be prepared for life after Nightingale.
How have truth, friendship and loyalty been a part of your time at Nightingale?
Nightingale has helped me become the person I am today through different opportunities I was given, exchanges, friendships, classes, and teachers. Nightingale has been a loyal support system that has always encouraged me to be the best version of myself. The Friendships inside and outside the blue doors I will remember and be always grateful for them. Because all the people, no matter how close I was or not made an impact on my persona and I have been able to learn and grow from my mistakes, and become the person I am today.
How has Nightingale educated both your heart and mind?
Nightingale has always served both my physical and mental interests through classes, exchanges and sports that are offered. I was always on my feet, learning something new everyday, never bored.
Favorite quote/personal motto:
Reach for the future, don't run from the past. Focus on what you can have, don't look back on what you had to leave behind. Some people will push you forward then let you go. They want you to make it, accept their help. Some will cling to you and hold you back. They want you for themselves, break their grasps. No one else can do it for you, it’s your challenge to face. You will want to give up, you can keep going. As long as you're still moving, you're still making it happen. You can do it.
Your message to the Nightingale Class of 2020:
We never imagined our senior spring like this, but life is unpredictable. In moments like this we can choose to be negative and dwell on what could have been. Or we can focus on the positive, and do achieve something that will always be remembered. It's not the worst senior spring, it's just different and unique. But we are a strong class, and will make this semester one that we will never forget. Love you all.
