Welcome! I'm Mr. Connor Watersmith, and I’m thrilled to continue my first year here at Ashley. After growing up in Charlotte, I attended NC State University to earn my B.A. in English: Teacher Education, where my passion for literature and education really took root.

Before joining AHS, I earned my M.S. in Curriculum & Instruction, taught at Millbrook High and Heritage High in Raleigh, and spent my past two years teaching at Pender High in Burgaw. 

This year, I’ll be guiding students through AP English Literature and English II. Each course is designed to engage and challenge students, and you can find detailed syllabi for each on their respective pages.
