Professional Development for New Hanover County Schools is supported through the Human Resources Department. The mission of Professional Development is to enhance the impact on student achievement through coaching support along with providing professional learning opportunities aligned to individual growth needs, school improvement goals, and district initiatives.

National Board Support

Score Release Date for all (initial and renewal) 2023-2024 Candidates is December 7, 2024

The National Board Score Release page has a suite of resources for candidates including information on how to access their scores, the scoring calculator, and guidance on how to interpret scores.

Important National Board registration reminders: These items are required for the implementation/continuation of your salary differential and CEUs from the state.

1. Agree to allow third-party notification. The third parties are DPI, NHCS, and NCCAT.

2. Indicate New Hanover County Schools as your school district.

3. Provide your 9-digit NC License number on your teaching certificate.
