About Miss Brandt 

Welcome to the 2025 - 2026 school year and Welcome to Middle School! 

My name is Genesis Brandt and I am going into my 5th year of teaching, my second year at Holly Shelter! I am one of the 6th grade math teachers and the Military Liason. 

I moved to Wilmington, NC from Northern Virginia where I spent majority of my life. I am a military child so I moved between California, Washington DC, Pennsylvania and Virginia. 

I went to Radford University for my undergraduate degree and I am currently attending East Carolina University for my masters in Special Education. 

In my free time I love to take my dog for walks and go to the beach, I also enjoy reading and spending time with my family and friends.
