Welcome to 5th Grade  Reading!

I hope you have all had a fantastic summer. I have been a classroom teacher for 4 years, and last year I worked in NC as a kindergarten teacher. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a Concentration in Nutrition/Family Wellness from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. I am so excited to get to teach 5th grade reading and social studies at Alderman Elementary this school year!

Homework

Students will continue practicing their reading and language skills daily.  They will be given a reading passage and questions on Fridays. They should complete the work and turn in for a grade on the following Friday.  Occasionally,  homework will be necessary for Social Studies but the main homework will be reading and skill-based practice.
