Diploma Pathway Prerequisite Courses

IB Diploma Programme (DP) Pathway Prerequisite Courses

By the end of 10th grade, Pre-DP students must have completed the following courses:

• Honors English 1 and 2

• At least three consecutive levels of the following World Languages: Spanish or French

• Honors Civics & Literacy OR AP Government, AP World History

• Honors Earth Science OR AP Environmental Science, Honors Biology, Honors Chemistry

• IF PURSUING IB MATHEMATICS APPLICATIONS AND INTERPRETATION: Honors Math 1,2, and 3

• IF PURSUING IB MATHEMATICS ANALYSIS AND APPROACHES STANDARD LEVEL: Pre-Calculus 

• IF PURSUING IB MATHEMATICS ANALYSIS AND APPROACHES HIGHER LEVEL:  AP Calculus before 11th grade or alongside IB Math in 12th grade (schedule permitting)

• Health and PE

• Honors and Personal Finance (By the end of 11th grade)

By the end of 10th grade, all Pre-IB students will complete the following in addition to their 9th-10th grade required courses:

-15 hours of Community Service (5 hours in 9th grade and 10 hours in 10th grade)

-Pre-IB Research Project

-Participation in IB Enrichment
