IB Certificate Pathway Prerequisite Courses

Pre-IB Course Requirements for Hoggard Pre-IB Certificate Pathway (students pursuing 2-4 IB classes) 

In addition to student-chosen electives and NC graduation requirement courses,  Pre-IB Certificate Pathway students will complete the following courses by the end of 10th grade:

• Honors English 1 and 2

• Spanish or French 1 and 2 (this is the minimum requirement- feel free to go beyond this if you like language!)

• Honors Civics & Literacy OR AP Government

• Honors World History OR AP World History

• Biology and Chemistry (On level or  Honors)

• Math 1,2, and 3 (On level or Honors)

• Health and PE

By the end of 10th grade, all Pre-IB Certificate Pathway students will do the following in addition to their 9th-10th grade required courses:

-Participate in Community Service and Enrichment
