Mr. Mike González

Principal - Bessie Allen Middle (WI)

Greetings from Oriole Nation! I am privileged to serve as Principal of Bessie Allen Middle School - BAMS (grades 6-8) as well as the District's English Language Learner (ELL) Program Director and Summer School Coordinator. This will be my 3rd year in this role for the School District of North Fond du Lac.

I am dedicated to providing students with a wide range of opportunities to develop experiences that will enable them to be Life, College, and Career Ready. I have been married for 4 years to Stephanie and we have a son (Ray).

Together as a family, we enjoy hobbies such as traveling, hiking, movie-watching, photography, volunteering, and reading. I am fluent in Spanish. I particularly enjoy watching/attending sporting events/concerts, playing board games, and keeping up with current events across the world. We also have two adorable dogs in Layla and Rocky.

Profesionally, I have earned three degrees (BA in General Business - Michigan State; MS in Social Studies Education - Florida International; MS in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis - UW Madison). After three years employed in the business world, I began my career in education at Kinloch Park Middle School (Miami, Florida) as a 7th grade Civics instructor. For six years thereafter, I was a high school Social Studies teacher at La Follette High School (Madison, WI). Prior to arriving to North Fond du Lac, I was an Assistant Principal at Fond du Lac High School for six years and Head Principal of Gordon Olson Middle School in Mauston, WI for three years.

Feel free to contact me at mgonzalez@nfdlschools.org or stop by my office at BAMS!!
