Congratulations to everyone who participated in the event, an awesome way to start a school day.
For the first time ever in the history of Nexus swimming, we are ACSIS CHAMPIONS! We were 1st place overall, 1st place overall boys and 1st place overall girls.
Nexus hosted the first post-pandemic ACSIS swim meet with 14 visiting international schools and 350 swimmers who participated.
Under the guidance of Coach Dhill, our strong Nexus team entered with excellent team spirit that they've built since the start of the year, buzzing with excitement and confidence to compete. Though Nexus has had many excellent performances and several personal bests. The Nexus Swim Team is incredibly proud to place first (amongst 15 schools) for the first time ever.
A huge congratulations to the Aquatics team and Coach Dhill for this monumental achievement.
Introducing our SEASAC (South East Asia Schools Activities Conference) silver medalists from Nexus. A stunning weekend of SEASAC volleyball for our girls who navigated their way to the tournament final after superb wins against Harrow Bangkok, NIST Bangkok, UWC Dover, Stamford American and UWC East. In the 16 team competition, our girls fought hard in the final narrowing losing 1-3 in a rematch with UWC Dover. Congratulations to all. A special thanks to all of the Nexus families who came and supported us Finally, a massive thank you to UWC East for hosting such a brilliant event.
What a season our 12&U Netball team has had! This team included players who had several years experience and also those who were learning netball for the first time. Every time our Nexus team has taken the court they have been so excited and supportive of each other. Our game against Tanglin Trust highlighted the strength of our shooting combinations and our strong defence against St Joseph's International School was a highlight. A nail biting game against Dover Court, resulted in Nexus winning by one goal within 30 seconds of the final whistle. This game, though challenging, bought out the strengths and talents of our team. Intercepts, reaching for the ball, straight line play and intuitive feeding into the circle contributed to every goal that was scored. Our last game of the season was against Dulwich, who played consistently over all four quarters, taking the win by two goals. Nexus fought for every ball and so often possession was contested several times, before a goal was scored by either team. Finally congratulations to every player for contributing to our success. Due to a nearly unbeaten record and winning our division, this under 12 team has secured a place for Nexus in division 1 for next year. A fantastic accomplishment. Thank you to every player for your commitment and determination in each game. Ms Deborah and I have thoroughly enjoyed managing and coaching you all. Lastly, thank you to our families who have supported us and been on the sidelines cheering us on.
