The 11&U Rugby squad had an amazing time meeting, and training with, the Scotland Rugby 7's team ahead of their HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens Tournament at National Stadium.
The squad travelled to Queenstown Stadium on Monday afternoon with the session beginning with a 'meet and greet' where we got an array of things signed including Nexus PE tops, Scotland player-profile cards and even an England Rugby ball!
Our Nexus lads then had the privilege of being put through their paces by the Scotland team with a few drills, before the Scotland team had to get serious and carry on with their own training.

A team of 45 swimmers took part in the Dragon's Den Open International Swim Championships at UWC East from Friday to Sunday. With 15 teams from all over South East Asia taking part, Nexus gained an impressive 3rd place overall, despite a number of swimmers being unable to attend the meet due to illness.
The whole team demonstrated determination and enthusiasm throughout the competition, gaining many personal best performances and a number of medals. Amongst many PB’s, 1st place ribbons and medals, all members of the team worked hard for our school and a number of them reached the finals. Most notable results were Carmen Weiler Sastre (Year 7) and Mickey Adeney (Year 10) who both were awarded the age group trophy. A special mention goes to our senior swimmers - Shannan Verly and Ricardo Perone who gained their first medals ever at this meet, congratulations.

Since our last update, both squads have had at least two more games. The Nexus Blue team has been all over Singapore with close games against Dulwich College, Dover Court International School and the Australian International School. While the Green team has played both a home and away fixture against UWC East. Both teams are coming on in their respective divisions and it has been great to see our experienced team members take those teammates that are new to the game under their wing and show them the boundary ropes, as their skills and understanding of the game continue to develop. Good luck to both teams for their fixtures next week...Howzat!

The U11's had yet another fantastic result and are really building momentum and excitement towards the finals in 2 weeks time. Playing away at AIS we had two tight games but were happy to came away with a 4-3 win against United World College - East Campus (UWCE) and a 5-4 win against United World College - Dover Campus (UWCD). With a mixture of experience in the squad, the girls have really committed to training and playing hard this season and as a result are now displaying some fantastic netball.

Our Nexus 12&U Football team are just three matches away from ACSIS Division 2 success. Unbeaten through five games so far this season, last week they came up against recent rivals Swiss International School Singapore and a midweek clash against GEMS World Academy.
With depth and experience, Nexus fielded a squad of 15 which proved essential during the tiring 60 minute battle with the Swiss School. With a regular rotation of substitutions occurring, the fitness of the Nexus team proved too strong for the Swiss. Being 4-0 up at half time, Nexus let two slip by at the beginning of the second half before finishing strong with another four consecutive goals, closing out the match, 8-2
The midweek fixture against GEMS World Academy proved crucial for both team, searching for a top 2 spot on the very close ACSIS Division 2 League Ladder. Our Nexus lads turned on the skill and flair that they have shown all season and after a very tight first 20 minutes, Nexus gained momentum in the match and scored five clinical goals to take the 3 points against GEMS. Final score, 5-1.
