Dear families,

It was lovely to see so many of you in school again this week. The year 2 families enjoyed their ‘Come Dine with Me’ experience on Wednesday, the Reception families learnt lots at their phonics workshop and the Year 3S families were very proud with their children’s ancient Egypt inspired assembly. It was great to the see the ‘Workout Wednesday’ session being well attended too. Keep checking the ‘Key Dates’ section to make sure you know what is happening in school each week.

As you can see below the school has been full of life this week. The children have continued to deepen their knowledge of their science topics. A majority of pupils are studying plants so why not take an opportunity to explore the local parks and spot the signs of spring. With the weather due to be mixed this weekend you could also explore the National Gallery which has an exciting Kehinde Wiley exhibit or check out the revamped Museum of the Home, Hoxton.

At school this week we have been focussing a lot about kindness. Some children have noticed that our garden needs some TLC and they have been thinking carefully about how to look after and mend some of the bits that need repairing. We are also going to be really focused on how to be kind to ourselves in the last week of this half term, as we celebrate 'Shackle-Well Being Week'. This will be combination of events for children and staff to help everyone refresh and renew after a long half term.

We are always looking for ways to brighten the school environment so I would like to make a request that if you have any indoor plants that you have 'outgrown' then please drop them off to the office. Our team of pupil gardeners would love to revitalise them and add some colour and life to the school spaces.
