Dear families,

At Shacklewell we are already looking forward to the next academic term and I will have some exciting spring term news to share next week.

It was great to see so many parents at this week's parents' consultations. These evenings are a great opportunity for families and school to share information about our children. If you were unable to make it on Thursday evening then please do not hesitate to make an appointment with your child's class teacher.

The children are all very excited about their upcoming Christmas performance on the 17th December. Each child must wear a certain colour to perform. Please ensure it is a smart, plain, logo free t-shirt to help the children look as good as they will sound.

Our Christmas lunch is on the 18th December. A delicious dinner from our wonderful catering team will truly help us celebrate the festive spirit. If your child is usually packed lunch but you would like them to have a school dinner on that day, then please speak to the school office.

Below are a list of all key events over the remaining eight school days. The children have got some amazing opportunities to enjoy and I know it will help them all get into the Christmas spirit. If you have any questions please speak with your class teachers.

On Wednesday evening there was a touch of glamour for some our Shacklewell children as they attended a prestigious event at the Hackney Town Hall. Accompanied by Mr. Middleburg and Ms. Dickinson the children were representing the school at the Young Hackney Sports Awards.

The children were absolutely thrilled to be given the award for sports participation. This is a testament to our school's commitment to healthy lifestyles for all our children. Well done to the sports team, and most importantly the children for their hard work and resilience!
