How are we graded?
What’s Graded?: Grades in this class reflect both what students know (academic mastery) and how they grow as learners (work habits and organization).Your grade is made up of the following core components:
Weekly Work Habits: A weekly reflection of classroom performance and engagement. This measures daily effort, participation, willingness to tackle challenges, and active involvement in class activities.
Notebook Organization: Regular checks of student science notebooks to ensure notes, lab data, and handouts are kept neat, complete, and up to date.
Labs & Hands-On Science: Practical applications of concepts, investigation reports, and group experiments.
Assignments: Classwork and quick checks for understanding that build foundational knowledge.
Unit Tests & Assessments: Larger evaluations showing mastery of standards at the end of a unit.
Infinite campus is updated on a regular basis to communicate grades and performance in class to parents and students. Please contact your teacher if you think she may have missed something. *We are only human!*
