General Information

Important information for the fall season:

  • All athletes must be registered on FamilyID in order to participate/tryout. Registration must be done every season. Registering on FamilyID is the only way to sign up for a fall sport.
  • All athletes must attend the coaches informational meeting prior to the season beginning. Information will be posted around the school, on the morning announcements, and on this website. If an athlete in unable to attend the meeting they must contact a coach to make other arrangements.
  • An up to date physical must be on file with the nurse.

It is the intent of athletic programs to provide opportunities for participation for as many students as possible. Budget constraints, safety concerns, playing time, and available facilities, however make a "no cut" policy difficult. Prior to the start of a season, coaches will advise parents and students of the try-out and participation policy for each sport. Every effort will be made to accommodate as many students as possible, but coaches may follow pre-established and announced cutting policies.

Interscholastic Policies: Before and after school privileges may be suspended for lack of cooperation during classes. A student/athlete is always a student first. A student/athlete must participate in his/her daily classes in order to participate in our after school athletics program and clubs. Coaches will work with parents, teachers, guidance, and their athletes insure success in the classroom and on the field.

There is a user fee for athletes who participate on a team. The user fee amount per sport is $180. User fee can be paid online. For more information, on payment, financial assistance, and family caps visit newton's Fee Payment and Waiver Information site.
