Three years ago, our EF+Math community set out to develop math learning approaches that can dramatically improve outcomes for students and better understand the role of executive function skills and equity in mathematics education. Our community has accomplished and learned an incredible amount over these past few years and we looked forward to coming together to celebrate and share these learnings.
To kick off our event, we gathered virtually as a community for reflections and celebrations on Tuesday, September 12th, at 7:00 pm ET / 4:00 pm PT.
Following our Tuesday evening kick-off event, we hosted a series of virtual project showcase sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, with each team having an opportunity to highlight their math learning approaches and insights. This was a wonderful opportunity to connect with EF+Math teams, learn together, and experience the learnings emerging from our portfolio approach.
The agendas contain detailed information about which teams are presenting at each session. After the teams presented, there was time for a group discussion during each session.

Construct Matrix Pannel
DECEMBER 7, 2021
Event Recording (Passcode: ?ddX4&u&)
Construct Matrix Overview Video by Adam Smith (passcode: CR=yT7YK)
Facilitator: Dr. Karen Douglas
Panelists: Dr. Aurora Graf, Dr. Laura Hamilton, Dr. Caitlin Tenison & Dr. Melina Uncapher
The construct matrix is a library of measures/assessments being used by the EF+Math community, and was created to foster common understanding of the measurement plans and support constructive conversations about opportunities for awardees to build on each other’s work. The Methods & Measures (M&M) Team created an Excel file from the most current version of Prototyping Track team measurement plans. It should be viewed as a living document (as with all of our work!) that will evolve over time. We recognize that the prototyping track teams are at different stages in working with district partners and therefore some of the measurement information in the matrix is based on the preliminary plan submitted with the proposal. Teams that are earlier in their development may especially find value in this information as they are selecting measures.
