I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself.  I have lived in New Richmond since 1989 but recently moved to Stillwater, MN because I remarried on July 1st! My last name will now be Johnson Weyer. My husband, Mark Weyer is a Farmer's Insurance agent in Stillwater and a native of the Lakeland Stillwater area. With my new marriage, I now am blessed to have 4 step children and 4 step grandchildren, along with my two daughters: Emily (29) lives in Woodville, graduated from UW-Stout and found a job in her field (YEAH!) working as a sales rep for CHS in Inver Grove Heights; and Hannah (27) lives in Chicago, graduated from UW-LaCrosse with a degree in business/accounting. She also found a remote job in her field at Del Mar Vacation Rentals in Massachusetts.   

I grew up in Tomahawk, WI and love vacationing there at my dad’s cabin on Lake Nokomis, spending time with my family and friends!  I also love to read, journal, walk, bike, dance, listen to music, garden, play cards/games/tennis/pickleball/golf, watch movies, go to garage/estate sales, eat out at fun restaurants (especially sushi), and do DIY projects!  

I graduated from UW-River Falls in 1988 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and in 1992 with a Master’s Degree in Education. October of 2002 marked a milestone in my teaching career of which I’m very proud; I became a National Board Certified Teacher! In 2011 and 2021, I renewed my NBCT license.  This is my 35th year of teaching (17 years in second grade, 1 year in third grade when I looped, 1 year in 1st/2nd multi-age, 1 year in 2nd/3rd multi-age, and this is my 15th year of teaching first grade).   In short, I love teaching and learning!! ☺
