Field Day 2020

June 2020 Field Day Oath

We the families of Northville, promise that we shall take part in these “June 2020” field day activities, respecting and following the rules that govern them.

We will participate in the true spirit of sportsmanship, for the glory of sport with honor and respect.

Bowling

A ball or rolled up socks and 6 plastic cups. Set cups up in a triangle formation on the floor. Players get two rolls each turn. Whoever knocks over the most cups wins the round.

Cup Stacking

  1. Copy the picture above, with 4 cups on the bottom and work your way up Give each person a turn.

  2. Now try building a tower with onlly one cup on the bottom and build straight up. Use 10-15 plastic cups stack bottom to bottom and top to top. see who can stack the most.
    Option to: Time event for one minute

Dance Party

Let's dance for fun and exercise. Try a Freeze Dance!

Water Bottle Flip

Grab the lid and flip the bottle and try to land it upright. Works best if you fill about 1/3 of the bottle with water. The small kid size bottles work great for children.
Option to: Time event for one minute. Or see how many times you can land it in a row.


Book Balance

Can you balance a book on top of your head while walking.
Option to: Time for one minute or make this a relay race.

Tissue Blow & Catch

Just like it sounds Each person has 1 tissue and take turns. Lay tissue on top of your face and blow it up and try to catch with your hands. Again option to time for 1 minute

-How high can you blow it up into the air?

-Try it standing up, sitting down, and lying down

Paper Airplanes

  1. Use paper to make an airplane and see how far it will fly.

  2. Corn Hole-Set up a target and make it a Corn hole activity. Use a laundry basket, toy bin, or box. Works best with 2 airplanes for each person.


Spatula Flip aka Flip Your Lid

Place a lid on your spatula, flip it up and try to catch it on the spatula.

Start with large lid and as your skill improves try it with a smaller lid.

A water bottle lid works well for a nice challenge.

-You can time for 1 minute or see how many times you can catch in a row.


Skee Ball

You will need 3 different size containers-small, medium, and large. Place the small inside the medium. Toss a ball, small toy. or rolled up socks into the containers. 1 point for large, 2 for medium and 3 points for the small container. Laundry baskets work well for large, small waste baskets, medium, and large plastic cups for small .

WORKS BEST IF EACH PLAYER HAS TWO SOCK BALLS AND IF EACH PLAYER USES DIFFERENT COLOR SOCKS.

Between the Knees Relay

Set up a starting line and a finish line. Each player places a ball, soft toy, or stuffed animal between their knees. On "Go" players travel while keeping the object between their knees. NO JUMPING ALLOWED. Players are encouraged to gallop or waddle. The player who crosses the finish line first wins. Do the relay a few time

Bocce Ball

Toss out a target (a white ball, stuffed animal, or small toy. Then each player gets two sock balls (rolled up socks) and takes turns tossing their sock balls at the target. Whoever gets closest wins the round

Keep score and pay a few rounds.
