Our Summer Ministry Residency is a paid, full-time, three month internship program for college students or recent grads who are exploring a call to full-time ministry in the local church.

As a summer resident, you'll be equipped and empowered to own a significant area of ministry (not just intern busy work), giving you valuable ministry experience that you can use to build your resumé but more importantly, build your leadership.

What are the dates, times, and location?
Our Summer Ministry Residency begins Sunday, May 12th and ends on Sunday, August 11th, 2019. Our residents will be working on Sunday mornings 8am to 1pm and Tuesdays through Fridays from 9am to 5pm for the entire three month duration.
On your off-days, there is a ton to do! We are 60 minutes from San Francisco, 30 minutes from Sacramento, and a few hours away from multiple beaches and destination spots in Northern California.
Where will the residents stay and how much is rent?
If our residents are not within driving distance to Vacaville, California, we will be providing summer housing through the generous families of New Life Church. We do not plan to require any rent from the residents who stay in one of our summer houses.
How much does it cost? And how much are residents paid?
The program is free to apply for and if accepted, free to participate. Each resident is responsible for securing a means of travel to and from Vacaville, CA (the closest airport is Sacramento). We cover all housing costs if you stay at one of our summer houses but cannot cover any of the following expenses: food, technology (laptops, mobile devices), books, or any other personal expenses. Each resident, if accepted, will earn $750 for every month served.
What will the residents be doing?
Each resident will choose a focus and be entrusted with a significant responsibility in that focus. Every resident will be expected to have some experience, some skill, and a lot of passion for their area of focus. Each resident will be expected to equip volunteer teams to accomplish the ministry. The areas of focus are: youth ministry, kids ministry, small groups, worship, preaching, social media/communication. Got an idea for a focus we haven't thought of? Let us know on your application.
