WHAT WE DO
The Lighthouse is a major part of the solution to North Lincolnshire’s need for housing. In particular there is need for short – medium term housing for people who are homeless; whether rough-sleeping or “sofa-surfing”. Many of these people also have needs in other aspects of life which may have contributed to their current position.
The purpose of The Lighthouse is to provide a home and hope to those in need of both.
The Lighthouse creates an atmosphere which will raise guests aspirations. The Life-Skill centre provides training and coaching in many areas ranging from financial literacy to IT training and tenancy preparation.
Situated on Frodingham Road in the heart of Crosby, Scunthorpe, The Lighthouse is an attractive thirteen bedroom Supported Housing Project with an adjacent Life-Skills centre and an attached Tenancy Preparation facility.

“We are keen to work with any housing providers who can offer effective alternatives to Bed & Breakfast accommodation. Your project appears to fit our needs in terms of type of accommodation, location and hopefully management standards”.
Angela | Former Client
“In my hour of need The Lighthouse staff were there to help me. They shared my laughter and helped me through my tears. I’ve had a very enjoyable stay in a warm and welcoming place. Now I’m looking forward to a new start in a new place. Thanks for everything!”
Phil and the family | Former Clients
"So many ‘talk the talk’, speak of what they will do to help those who are homeless or at life’s low ebb. Virtually none ‘walk the walk’. In short talk is cheap and ineffective but at The Lighthouse the terrific staff and volunteers ‘talk and walk’ their help and efforts are magnificent and pragmatic … Thanks for everything”
