CAREER AND FINANCIAL APPLICATIONS

The objective of this foundation course is to provide students with the skills needed to confidently and independently manage their careers and finances.  Students will learn how to pursue chosen careers, and become a productive part of society. Students will understand the issues that most people confront in their daily lives, and will learn how to make decisions related to these issues. Instructional topics include: Lifestyles, Setting Goals, Researching Careers, Planning for Life, Finding Jobs, Employee Perspectives, Employer Expectations, Being Effective, Money Management, Credit, Credit Cards, Loans, Purchasing a Home, and Purchasing a Car.
