Welcome! My name is Tabitha (Shaw) Harmon and I am the Assistant Principal of Instruction at MCHS. I have been in education for the past 17 years; I spent 13 years teaching special education at various levels, and have been working in administration for the past 4 years. I have worked at MCHS for 9 years, serving in this AP role since 2022 and previously serving as a Special Education support services teacher for 9th-12th grades.
I graduated from Lander University in 2009 with my degree in Special Education K-12. Later, I went on to get my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading from Grand Canyon University. April 2014, I completed my second Master's degree in Educational Leadership.
Besides being an educator, I am a mom to Campbell (10) and Ansley (7), as well as wife to my husband, David. We own and operate Harmon Farm of Newberry. Additionally, our little family enjoys spending time together outside, whether on the lake, by the pool, camping, or playing in the backyard. We are avid Clemson fans and especially enjoy cheering on the tigers in the Fall.
