About Dr. Caughman

I am a 1996 honor graduate of Mid-Carolina High School.  I graduated from Newberry College in 2000 with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with minors in Elementary and Secondary Education.  I have completed graduate courses through Converse College in Spartanburg, SC, and hold a Masters of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in General Psychology from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. Additional certifications include Gifted and Talented Education, Read to Succeed endorsement, LETRS training, and Advanced Placement Calculus AB endorsement.

I was named Teacher of the Year for the School District of Newberry County in 2015-2016.

I have one son who is in the 7th grade at Mid-Carolina Middle School.

I am excited about the opportunities of this new school year and I invite you to join me in being a positive role model for our students at Mid-Carolina High School.
