Xena was another one of the characters that I've had since I had the very first idea for the show. her design changed very little. Only some minor changes like shirt color or hair length. Characters like Xena pose as a hard spot because I don't draw alot of angsty or gritty characters often. So I had to make sure she had a more softer side as well. (Which she does.) I ended up going with a longer haired design and a more grumpy look.

His current design and final design is much more cutesy and kiddie looking. I wanted to make sure Taylor's backstory fit his design and this early 2024 design doesn't do that well.

A character from the original idea. I decided to draw him in a more 1920's rubber horse style. It fit the character so well.
Kris, by far went through the most character redesigns along with the character Color and Taylor. I had to change some things as far as how he talked, acted, and his overall personality just to make sure it's as authentic to the time of 1920 and make sure nothing would upset the African American community.
