· DOES YOUR COMPANY REMOVE BEES FROM HOMES?
Unfortunately, no, we only remove bees from your trees and shrubs.
· WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE REMOVED BEES?
The owner is a hobbyist beekeeper rehoming them so they can continue to benefit our local environment.
· WILL ALL THE BEES BE GONE AFTER REMOVAL?
Depending on the time of day the hive is removed can affect the number of stragglers left behind after the removal. To help minimize the number of bees left behind Early Morning or Later Evening. During these times the worker bees should be back at the hive. If bees get left behind, they can stay for 2 weeks or longer.
· WHY DO BEES STING?
Stinging is a Colonies defense against intruders. When a Bee stings it releases an Alarm pheromone provoking an attack from other nearby bees attracting them to the sting. This is done even after the bee has detached from its stinger. The stinger contains a separate muscle allowing it to pulsate and deliver more venom while also releasing more pheromone.
· WHY DO BEES SWARM?
To ensure the survival and expansion of their colonies. Swarms will usually consist of about half the hive and the old queen. Clustered together they wait as scouts find a new home.
