PHA316 Toxicology establishes the theoretical foundation necessary to develop an understanding on toxic compounds and mechanisms, with a wide range of toxic compounds being discussed.

PHA320 Toxicology Lab.

PHA320 Toxicology Lab. will teach students the intricacies and finer points of running analyses on toxic compounds, with specific interest in methodologies requiring minimal experimental setup and apparatus.

Casarett and Doull's Toxicology ( 8th Edition or later are strongly recommended).

Course Requirements

Dept. of Toxicology does not have any specific course requirements, however, having passed courses such as Analytical Chemistry and Pharmacology prepares the students for the concepts discussed in Toxicology. Therefore, we strongly suggest the students take PHA316 and PHA320 only after having passed Analytical Chemistry and Pharmacology courses.

Dept. of Toxicology strongly suggests students take PHA320 Toxicology Lab. in conjunction with PHA316 Toxicology or after having taken and passed PHA316 Toxicology. Taking PHA320 Toxicology Lab. before PHA316 Toxicology is not recommended.
