Nephelie Technologies Launches nCOMM, the World’s First Wireless Volumetric Video Capture System

MWC 2026 debut brings real-time Holographic Telepresence closer to telecom-scale reality

Barcelona, Spain — 2 March 2026 — Nephelie Technologies Limited today unveiled nCOMM, the world’s first fully wireless volumetric video capturing system powered by 4D Gaussian Splats, at Mobile World Congress 2026.

Developed in collaboration with the Smart Internet Lab at the University of Bristol and supported by Innovate UK, nCOMM eliminates the need for fixed studios and wired camera arrays — enabling ultra-realistic 3D capture of people and environments over advanced wireless networks.

At MWC26, Nephelie is presenting a Holographic Telepresence and Virtual Production demonstration, showing how multiple wireless capture pods stream volumetric data in real time to create immersive, shared 3D scenes. Human performances and large-scale environments are captured, transmitted, and reconstructed as dynamic digital twins — entirely untethered.

By combining multi-path QUIC streaming with multi-access wireless networking and 4D Gaussian splat rendering, nCOMM transforms volumetric capture from a studio-bound production tool into a network-native service. The result is a foundational step toward scalable, telecom-grade Holographic Telepresence — where participants can appear as lifelike, spatially present holograms across distributed locations.
