I have been working at Lakeview since 2006. Before coming to Lakeview, I worked in Pickerington (my hometown!) and Youngstown. I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Ohio University, and I earned my master’s degree in school counseling from the University of Dayton.
I live in Canfield with my husband, Dean. He is a teacher and a coach at Canfield High School. We have a wonderful daughter, named Alex (born in 2009). She lights up our lives and keeps us very busy. I have a pit-mix who is the sweetest boy ever - Archie Griffin Conley!
My life’s work is helping kids!! I truly believe, “It takes a village.” I am honored to be part of your child’s village.
I have been teaching at Lakeview for eight years. I am a graduate of Otterbein and Youngstown State University. I am married and have two children, a cat, a dog, and a guinea pig. I love all things science and believe that the problem solving skills that it teaches apply to every aspect of life. I challenge my students to view the world and try to make it a better place- to be a positive change in the world.
My name is Mrs. Kristina Denman. I started teaching at Lakeview 18 years ago. I live in Cortland with my husband, Keith, and three great kids: Cole, Ellie, and Brody. I love baking and making crafts with my family. I absolutely love teaching, and I am so excited to have your child in my class. We’re going to have a great year!
I have been teaching for 23 years. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University and completed my special education coursework through Notre Dame College in Cleveland. In addition to my years teaching at Lakeview, I have taught at Auburn Community School District in Auburn, Illinois, Grand Valley Local Schools, and Buckeye Local Schools.
My husband is a teacher at Joseph Badger Local schools. We have two children, Ethan and Hannah. We enjoy watching them in all of their extra curricular activities including XC, volleyball, basketball, and track. In my free time, I love to read.
As a graduate of Lakeview High School it is an honor to be a part of this district! I graduated from Kent State University in May 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught first grade for two years out of state before returning to my hometown. I have been a fourth grade teacher at Lakeview since fall 2010. I have also earned my 4th and 5th grade generalist endorsement from Walsh University and a Master’s Degree in Technology Integration from Nova Southeastern University.
My husband and I have two wonderful children, Brayden and Addyson. We have a dog named Dixie, a cat named Daisy, cows and chickens! I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, crafting, and reading.
I am so excited to be your child’s teacher! My goal is to help your child in every way to meet his or her learning potential by providing many experiences to help your child develop and gain confidence in what he or she can do. I will do my very best to guide your child into independent, self-motivated learning. Fourth grade is going to be a fantastic year!
Teaching is one of the absolute loves of my life. I cannot imagine a life without the opportunity to know and impart learning into my students. My teaching career began in North Carolina, where I attended college and lived for 11 years, after graduating from Champion High School. With the exception of kindergarten and 5th grade, I have taught every grade up to 8th. My degrees include a BS in Elementary Education and a Masters in Reading Specialization. Reading is my favorite hobby, and I enjoy sharing that with my students. Mr. Weber and I are the parents of 2 adult children and grandparents to a 6 month old English Cream Golden Retriever, named Sidney Rose (after Sidney Crosby, of course! Go Pens!!!) We enjoy golf, sightseeing, watching/attending sports events, and visiting family and friends in North Carolina and Florida. It is my hope that students and parents will find me approachable and sincere in my attempts at meeting needs, offering guidance, and helping make students’ academic experience positive.
