My name is Jennifer McAllister. I have been teaching first grade at Lakeview for 25 years. I live in Cortland with my husband Greg and our two wonderful kids, Molly and Tommy. I am so excited to share this amazing year of learning with your child. My desire is for your child to become a lifelong learner who loves to come to school and has an excitement for learning. We become a family in our classroom as we work and play and share in each others lives.
My name is Mrs. Dana Petrunia and I am your child's first grade teacher. This is my twelfth year teaching and I just love teaching first grade. I live in Cortland with my husband and three great kids, Quinn, Reid, & Owen. I am looking forward to an exciting school year and to have your child in my class this year. My number one goal is to provide a classroom environment that best benefits, yet challenges, your child's learning, as well as, where learning is fun!
My name is Carrie Probst and I am very excited to work with your child this year as we explore and learn! As a Lakeview graduate myself, I take great pride in having the opportunity to instill our school's strong educational and ethical philosophies in our community's future! I graduated from Western Governor's University with a Post-Baccalaureate Degree in Elementary Education PreK - 5. I look forward to providing your child with a positive learning environment! I feel that education should be a way to empower students and help to guide them to develop their passion, critical thinking skills, and compassion for others. In our classroom, I will help students to use their minds and to think and learn, in order to be successful. I will help students to have a wish to learn more and from that wish, unlock creativity in each student. I feel a big responsibility of a teacher today should be to instill the value of making the world a better place, caring for others and giving a student a feeling of excitement about learning. Please feel free to contact me at any time throughout the school year! I can be reached by email or at 330-638-2145.
