Hello students and families! My name is Ms. Chesser. I will be teaching fifth grade reading and writing curriculum this year! I also have the privilege of teaching fourth grade science and social studies. I am looking forward to bonding with your students and watching them grow!

Bloomfield Elementary School is dedicated to educating students as learners and as community members. At BES, we have three school priorities: deeper learning, caretaking, and literacy. Our classroom goals and projects center around these three priorities,  allowing our students opportunities to connect with people and place while discovering their passions. 

This is my fifth year teaching at Bloomfield Elementary. I have lived in Nelson County all my life and even attended Bloomfield Elementary when I was a child! I have a Bachelor's of Arts in Liberal Arts from Murray State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of the Cumberlands.

In my free time, I enjoy reading new books and manga, writing short fiction stories, spending time with friends and family, playing video games, and watching animated shows!
