Civic Theatre Recital Day - Sunday, May 24, 2026 - 2pm
Civic Theatre Recital Day - Sunday, May 24, 2026 - 2pm
Sunday is Show Day!!! Here’s everything you need to know to help recital day run smoothly and stress-free for your family!
1. Choose Your Recital Helper 👨👩👧
Before recital weekend, please assign one parent or adult to handle both backstage drop-off and pick-up for your student. Due to limited space, having just one adult helps us tremendously.
We will have signs posted by dance name to help guide you.
Students will be dropped off at the sign for their first dance in the recital.
Students will be picked up from the sign for their last dance in the recital.
For some families, drop-off and pick-up will be at the same location. For others, they may be different. Please review the attached recital map ahead of time so you know exactly where your student will be.
2. Student Drop-Off ⏰
Drop-Off Time: 1:00–1:30 PM.
Please meet your teacher/chaperone at your student’s designated dance sign in the courtyard of the theatre.
Use your assigned QR code to electronically check your child in with their chaperone. You will receive this via email on Friday. (If Wi-Fi gives us trouble, don’t worry — we’ll also have clipboards, paper, and pens available for manual sign-in.)
3. During the Performance 🎬
For the safety of all students, backstage and stage doors remain locked during the performance.
Students will not be released until the show has ended.
Showtime: 2:00–4:30 PM.
4. Student Pick-Up 🎊
Immediately following the performance (typically 4:30–4:45 PM), students will be escorted from backstage to the sign for their last dance.
Please have the same adult who completed drop-off use the same QR code to check the student out. (If Wi-Fi is unavailable, we will again provide clipboards for manual sign-out.)
Please do not skip this important safety step. Even if you know your child is safely with you, if we do not have a recorded sign-out, our team immediately begins emergency procedures and may contact security or local authorities.
Once your student has been checked out, please move away from the pick-up area for hugs, flowers, photos, celebrations, and high-fives!
