You know the gym equipment we have in the fitness center? The exercise machines that are lined in rows are powered by air pressure. And that's all thanks to the pneumatic cylinder. Air goes into the cylinder and pushes the piston out of the cylinder partway. There is a mechanism that blocks the piston from leaving the machine. And the air pressure goes down when it goes out another hole and the pressure drops. When the pressure drops, the piston goes back to its original place.If someone wants more weight, they press a button. This button increases the air pressure so that there is more weight added and the exercise is more difficult.
There are some benefits of using this type of gym equipment. These machines are silent and require very little maintenance. For the user, you can change weight quickly without the process of unscrewing the safety clip, lift the heavy weight off its home, slide on the weight, and fuss with and tighten the clip. Also, when you are using the barbell and you have it above your head, it’s difficult to get it back down safely. With the hydraulic machine, it’s easier. All you have to do is push a button and air goes inside the cylinder increasing he pressure and making it "heavier", push another button and that will release the air inside making it "lighter".
This technology is definitely revolutionary for the gym world. If you're not sure about the equipment there's always the classic weights.
