Requesting Chrome Extensions & Apps for Student Accounts

Google Chrome extensions are small programs that can be installed to add or change the browser's functionality. Screencastify is an example.

Google Android Apps are available on some Chromebooks through the Google Playstore. They typically do not run well on Chromebooks.

A Chrome app is a web-based app that you can install in Chrome that looks and functions like an app you’d launch from your desktop. Chrome apps will eventually stop working on Chrome OS, the browser on Chromebooks and Chrome tablets.

While Chrome extensions and apps are unrestricted for Nebo employees, students can only install those that are "whitelisted."

To request student access to a Chrome extension or App, please email apprequests@nebo.edu.
