About

The Special Early Career session (SEC-sess) is a series of invited talks that takes place annually at the ASME IDETC/CIE conference. The first SEC-sess was in 2021. The session provides a venue to highlight the research of young faculty throughout the world working broadly in the areas of mechanisms & robotics. The session is organized by the Mechanisms & Robotics Committee under the Design Engineering Division of the ASME. Speakers are invited to participate. The past session included a diversity of topics: robot design, motion planning, human-centered, robotics, collaborative robots, soft robotics, tensegrity robots, exoskeletons, biomechanics, grasping, and manipulation.

On this website, you will find a list of current and past speakers for the event.
