What is Human Trafficking Awareness & Prevention?
HTAP is a student-led group at North Country Union High School dedicated to raising awareness about human trafficking, educating our community, and taking meaningful action to support victims. After reading Sold by Patricia McCormick in sophomore English classes, students gained insight into the harsh realities of human trafficking in India and Southern Asia. Our club works to translate that understanding into local action by fundraising, organizing donation drives, and creating educational materials to prevent human trafficking and support survivors. Activities include bake sales, book donations, SANE bag contributions at local hospitals, care packages, and awareness campaigns through posters, brochures, and social media. The club empowers students to lead, collaborate, and engage with the community while promoting social responsibility and ethical awareness.
