Sankalp Sharma, Ph.D


Dr. Sharma holds a Ph.D in agricultural economics from University of Nebraska - Lincoln and Masters in Economics. He has worked for the Food and Agriculture Organization (United Nations, Rome, Italy), the Nebraska Department of Agriculture and Council of Social Development. His research includes work on risk analysis, crop insurance, grain markets and land acquisition policy.

He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and has been invited to present papers at the AAEA, CEA, IWREC and ICAE conferences, the annual Land and Poverty conference held at the World Bank, and other applied economics conferences. He has also been the recipient of research grants.

He has taught courses in - Introductory microeconomics, Introduction to business, agricultural finance, agricultural commodity marketing, farm management, advanced price analysis, international trade, quantitative economics, money and banking, crop/forage production management.
