Q:What is the general structure of the program?

A: The general structure includes: research-specific activities with a research group/faculty member; and common activities for all participants.

Q: Will a RISE participant work individually with a faculty member or as a group on a common project?

A: Each participant will conduct research in a particular area of research with a team that may include current graduate students, post-doctoral researchers and faculty members associated with the research project.

Q: What are the common or group activities, if any?

A: The group or collective activities include a weekly seminar or workshop related to development of research or professional skills (you will see a list in the RISE web site go.ncsu.edu/rise), and weekly status updates to share one's research with other RISE participants. Also, there will be opportunities for group activities outside of the research program.
