As a first-year PhD student in the Department of Statistics at North Carolina State University, I am actively engaged in a diverse array of research projects that blend cutting-edge statistical methodologies with interdisciplinary applications. My primary research focus lies in the field of astronomy, where I leverage advanced techniques such as circular data analysis, Bayesian inference, and functional data analysis to address complex problems. These methods allow me to model and analyze periodic phenomena, incorporate uncertainty in a principled manner, and handle high-dimensional, smooth data structures inherent in astronomical datasets.
Beyond astronomy, my work extends to environmental science and other interdisciplinary domains. In these areas, I apply statistical tools to tackle pressing real-world challenges, such as modeling environmental processes or integrating data from diverse sources to inform decision-making.
As I continue my doctoral journey, I am committed to deepening my expertise in these areas while exploring new statistical techniques and their applications. My involvement in these projects reflects my passion for using statistics as a powerful tool to advance scientific discovery and address societal needs.
