The Open Cafe Express was a weekly event series that took place throughout the Spring 2021 semester and was hosted by North Carolina State University Libraries.
Each event within the Open Cafe looked at a different theme of Open Education, and sessions generally held a similar format of a short presentation followed by ample time for questions and discussion.
The Cafe is intentionally designed to provide a solid overview of a topic within a relatively short time frame, hence the "Express" tagline. These are "taster" sessions which allow participants to sample and learn more about a topic within a 30 minute timeframe.
Though the Open Cafe Express was hosted at NC State, we were delighted to welcome colleagues from further afield, both as presenters and attendees, who were able to bring their own unique perspectives to the subject matter at hand. We thank every person who attended the Open Cafe and helped contribute towards a fun and interesting learning experience.
I'd like to add a special thank you to the following people, who graciously provided their time and expertise by leading presentations at the Open Cafe and, without whom, the series would have been not nearly as interesting.
