INSPIRE is a self-adaptive personalized behavior change system for adolescent preventive healthcare. In INSPIRE, adolescents are active participants in dynamically unfolding narratives about issues of alcohol use.
INSPIRE is grounded in a social-cognitive theory of health behavior change. It is designed to enhance adolescents’ knowledge, personal efficacy, and self-regulatory processes.
INSPIRE enables adaptive health behavior change narratives that are tailored to individual adolescents by a novel reinforcement learning system called ChangeGradients.
