Hello! My name is Maya Sinclair. I am currently a 3rd-year teacher in Wake County Public Schools. I completed my education in 2020 at North Carolina State University with a degree in Rhetoric Writing and a minor in film studies. My journey as an educator has allowed me to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and exploring various literary works. This year, my goal is to cultivate critical thinking, communication skills, and a deep appreciation for the power of storytelling. This past summer, I had the privilege to join the NCSU CIDRE program and got to expand my knowledge and understanding of global storytelling and how it naturally occurs in certain setting in Vienna, Austria.
