ALAMANCE COUNTY 4-H SUMMER SIZZLE PROGRAM 2018
The Alamance County 4-H Summer Sizzle Program is a program that was implemented 2 years ago for youth to have enjoyable, educational, and character-building activities and trips while enjoying the summer sunshine! We strive to offer a variety of programs that youth of all ages can enjoy here in Alamance County. For more information about Alamance County 4-H clubs, or other programs, please contact us at 336-570-6740. Below is the information on registration for 4-H Summer Sizzle 2018:
1. To enroll in any Alamance County 4-H Summer Sizzle Program/Class you must fill out your child's information at https://www.4honline.com/. You should also review the 4-H Code of Conduct with your child(ren) so they can be aware of those behavior guidelines. These forms may also be found online at https://nc4h.ces.ncsu.edu/ or obtained from the Alamance County Cooperative Extension Office during normal business hours; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
2. Registration only available after child(ren) enrolled at nc.4honline.com. Summer Registration will be by appointment only between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and will be accepted in person only. NO mail, phone, or e-mail registrations will be allowed. Appointments will be 30 minutes per family and you can only register for children for whom you are a parent or guardian. If your child has any special accommodation needs, please let Taylor Jones know at the time of registration. You may call 336-570-6740 or come by the Extension Office to set up an appointment. All enrollments must be entered into the 4honline.com system. This will be in place of paper forms.
3. Participants may only initially register for up to six (6) classes. If the classes are not filled after the first two weeks of registration, then registration will be re-opened and you may add more classes at that time. Payment for classes is required in full at the time of registration and can be done with cash or check (made payable to Alamance County 4-H). A registration fee of $10 per participant (covers cost of snacks and insurance) is required in addition to the class fees.
4. Please review carefully the information on each program that you sign up for, including the stated age ranges and times. Make sure your child truly wants to attend the class. We find that if a child doesn’t want to attend a class/program, he or she can become disruptive.
5. Class age range is important. Classes are designed with age-appropriate activities. Children who do not meet the age requirement will not be signed up for the class. We go by age as of January 1st, 2018. Whatever your child's age was as of January 1st of 2018 is what their 4-H age is for the entire year. This is a state-mandated rule.
6. You are responsible for making sure that your child arrives and is picked up on time for each class. If you are more than 10 minutes late for any field trip program, your child will be left and no refund will be issued! If your child is not picked up on time, a fee will be incurred.
7. No personal electronics (cell phones, iPads iPods, etc.) are allowed during classes.
8. Unless otherwise stated, classes will meet at the Alamance County Cooperative Extension Office. Youth and adults should wear 4-H appropriate clothing (see Code of Conduct) that is comfortable for lots of movement and that can get dirty! For classes off-site, emails will be sent out ahead of time with directions to the class and details about what to bring.
9. We reserve the right to suspend your child from the program without refund should he/she become disruptive or violate the 4-H Code of Conduct in any way. If a child must be dismissed from the program, then the parent/guardian will be called to pick up the child immediately.
10. NO REFUNDS will be given for Summer Sizzle classes except in the event of a cancellation by our office. All refunds will be processed at the conclusion of the entire Summer Sizzle program in August. Please allow four weeks from that time for a check to be requested from the County Finance Department.

T-shirts will be available for sale at $10 each. They will be Dark Heather in Color with white writing. Sizes are unisex adults available in Small to 3XL.
