HOW DO I GET A LIBRARY BOOK?
Watch this video to review how to put a book on HOLD. By putting a book on HOLD, the library staff can deliver your chosen library book to you during these times of cohorts and social distancing.
Deliveries can occur in two places.
For in-school learners, then an ELA classroom delivery will be made. Check your teacher's room often to see when this book was delivered.
For at-home learners, then the book will be brought up to the main office of Saxe Middle School. Once there, you will be contacted by email. In fact, an email will be sent to you(the student), your teacher and your parent/guardian-letting everyone know the book is ready & waiting! When it's time for a book to be returned, they can be placed in the return boxes at all the main offices of the building or dropped off with security.

Click on the book you want to read and then select log in with Google. Make sure of two things. 1. That you are already logged into your school GSuite Account and 2. make sure the book is IN to get it delivered to you as soon as possible (see IN ribbon in corner of each book)

Select HOLD -and Destiny alerts the library staff to pull this book for you. That’s it!

If the book copy is OUT, this means someone else has the book checked out, you’ll get your LA delivery when the book comes back. You will be in line for this book for up to 90 days and the availability of these holds depends solely on our students returning books on time!

The process is the same for you too! When you put your book on HOLD the library will be alerted. We will pull the book for you and bring it to the MAIN office. Then an email will be sent to you the student, your parent and your teacher...letting everyone know the book can be picked up.
